AOS members meet during the Winter, Spring, and Fall. The winter meeting is always held beginning on the 4th Friday of January, the spring meeting always begins on the 3rd Friday of April, and the fall meeting always starts on the 2nd Friday of October. The spring and fall meetings are held on Dauphin Island, considered by many to be one of the top ten birding spots in the United States. The winter meeting is held at various locations around Alabama. AOS events provide an exciting environment in which to advance one's knowledge and enjoyment of ornithology.
